Altair Ships is headquartered in New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal, built to run repair & maintenance, technical management and crewing as one coordinated function.
We were built to close a gap owners feel constantly: coordinating separately with a repair yard, a technical manager, and a crewing agent, each holding only part of the picture.
Altair holds all three under one roof. A defect logged in the engine room, a spare part on order, and a relief officer’s travel plan are visible to the same team, at the same time — so decisions get made faster, and nothing falls into the gap between contractors.
Our systems, vendor network and reporting discipline are designed to scale cleanly as the fleet under our management grows, rather than retrofitting process onto legacy habits.

A single Altair team follows a vessel across repair & maintenance, technical management and crewing, rather than an owner routing the same issue through three separate desks. Requests don’t get re-explained at every handover.
Actinium — our own systems
Altair runs on Actinium Ship Manager, an in-house platform covering planned maintenance, purchasing, budgeting and financial reporting, HSEQ, certificates, and daily vessel reporting. Owners get status visibility that doesn’t depend on chasing an email.
A vetted repair & supplier network
Yards, workshops and spares suppliers are engaged against agreed technical specification and budget — chosen for capability and reliability on the job, not the cheapest quote on paper.
